INSTRUCTIONS FOR INBOUND/ARRIVALS

We request a 9 hour notice of arrival to the Galveston Bay (GB) sea buoy via VHF, SSB, Email, Telephone or Fax when possible.

Please provide the necessary information:

  • Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)
  • Draft
  • Berth Schedule
  • Tug assistance – number
  • Other requirements – Anchorage

 

Vessel Preparation When Entering Ship Channel
  • All thrusters operating
  • Dynamic Positioning vessels: Follow Up steering mode, all vessels
  • Anchor is ready for deployment

Vessel Operators and/or Steamship agents must inform of ETA or schedule changes. Drilling rigs: please give a 2+ days notice of ETA or schedule changes. Once again, we request a 9-hour notice of arrival to the Galveston Bay (GB) sea buoy via VHF marine radio (ch. 13 or 16), Phone, Email or FAX.  Phone and email is preferable until within VHF radio range of (GB) sea buoy.
